One of our all time favourites, this rich Ethiopian coffee is a special treat for lovers of black coffee, and also delicious with milk.
Sidamo, a province of Ethiopia until 1995 it is now part of the Oromia region situated in the famous Great Rift Valley that runs through Ethiopia and Kenya.
The high altitudes at which this coffee is grown give the beans a naturally high density and contribute to its unique flavour notes of wine and chocolate, delivering a well balanced, citrus acidity.
The farmers cultivate their coffee in bird and forest-friendly conditions, employing organic agricultural techniques, such as intercropping with food crops to enhance soil fertility. The ripest coffee cherries are selectively handpicked and processed to ensure superior quality
